TMF Tested: The FaceShop Aura CC Cream

Hi ladies

I was recently recommended by a friend to try out The FaceShop's latest CC Cream.

Aura CC Cream

It so happened that at the same time, I received an ad mail in my mailbox from The FaceShop as they recently launched a new store at Bedok Mall - it was for a storewide 20% off discount!

So, what else? I went to have a look-see!

I got mine in Medium Beige - I think it's the either midtone or the darkest shade.

It lays claim to 3 capabilities:
- brightens up skintone, as it contains Silver Vine Complex
- has anti-wrinkle, UV protection and brightening benefits
- 12 hour coverage, as well as darkening proof formula

It comes in a pretty cool packaging, with a very clean dispenser.  Not messy, and easy to wipe off!

It also has a special sponge meant for CC cream application as well.

See that little hole in the middle?
Press the dispenser at the bottom, and voila! Out comes your CC cream.  Neat huh?
Test ran it.

Bare Faced Me
With Aura CC Cream on, no filter, no concealer at all!
And indeed, I didn't see the need for any concealer at that point, and just ran around the whole day with this CC Cream, and only set it with a makeup setting spray.

Fresh Faced me with makeup on at 7am - no filter as well
Still looking decent, though my redness is starting to peek through at 5.30pm - no touch-ups done at all.
So my opinion is, the Aura CC Cream does a pretty decent job.  It can last a decent 10 hours max, in an aircon environment - yeap, I haven't road-tested this out in the open as yet. Though my bet is that it will probably last at least 5 hours in Singapore's sweltering heat.

This currently retails for S$49.90 and is available at all FaceShop stores in Singapore.  It comes in 3 varying shades, so please do swatch to get the right tone for yourself!

They do have samples, so if you're on the fence on it, just nip in and ask the friendly sales babes to let you have one.

Happy midweek, ladies!

Cheers

Quickie Post: Covermark Mineral Wash

Happy weekend everyone!

I just needed to tell y'all about this really amazing facial wash from Covermark, which I had the pleasure of trying out over the last few weeks.

Covermark Mineral Wash

Sample 25g

Sample 25g

At first I thought, this was a regular facial wash.  You can find the detailed information of the Mineral Wash on Covermark Singapore's official website!

Boy, was I underestimating it's prowess!

Firstly, it lathers up into this puffy bauble of smooth, white creamy mousse - which I found - cute (i know right, such an odd word for me to use LOL).

It works like a clay mask, thereby giving you a thorough cleansing and to me, I do believe it tightens the pores as well.

How did I derive that?

Well, see for yourself the results I had by just using this wash!

Before
My rough skin condition - a direct result of dehydrating factors like not drinking enough water and sitting in aircon all day.

This was taken about 3 weeks ago, and you can see my enlarged pores.

Close up of my deplorable pores :(

So this is the result after 3 weeks of usage:

After
Taken in natural daylight - skin is more hydrated and you can see it looks slightly plumped up. There is NO FILTER on this pic!
Close up of my nose with barely-there pores!

Here is a video which Covermark did to show how you can use the Mineral Wash, and get the most results out of it.

Click on this image to go straight to the video!

I am really really pleased with the results, and I'll be checking Covermark out soon for more of their skincare products.

Meantime, have a great weekend, and happy GSS shopping!

Cheers

TMF Quick Look: Lollipops Paris Cosmetics - Lipstick Shiny

Hello lovelies,

Some time back, I spotted this funky looking makeup called Lollipops. They had been available about a year ago at Watson's Singapore - however Watson's stopped carrying them - I guess they replaced with more Korean brands (just have a look at the wide range available in stores now...)

So anyways, I was keen to check it out, and did swatches and was somewhat enamoured with the colours - however never got round to writing this mini review!

So here goes:

Lollipops Lipstick Shiny
L-R: Suzy Kiss, Girls Wanna Have Pink, Made in Love, Fatal Cocktail and Milkshake Baby
Such pretty packaging right??
Oh my tassels....!
Top to Bottom: Milkshake Baby,  Fatal Cocktail, Made in Love,  Girls Wanna Have Pink, Suzy Kiss

These are sheer lipsticks, so if you like subtle colours - then this is something you can definitely try. Also, a great summer must-have!

Me trying out this fresh, tangy tone called Fatal Cocktail - sweet right :)
Lollipops is now available at bellabox.sg, they will be including this in July's box so I'd recommend you to subscribe now before they get sold out!

First time subscribers only pay $9.90 for the first subscription box! Isn't that a sweet deal?  You get this lipstick, plus much more! If you didn't already know, bellabox takes different brands and products, puts 'em in a box and sends out to you ladies to try out. You can get some really good brands sometimes, and there's always something for everyone!

I'll be posting another TMF Quick Look soon for the rest of the Lollipops products which I got too!

Have a great weekend ladies :)

Cheers
