Latest: Charlotte Tilbury's Multi-Miracle Glow Cleanser Balm & Mask!

Hello lovelies,

Am back with a wonderful new product that I just tested today!

I've been hearing all these great reviews of Charlotte Tilbury's (CT) Magic Cream, and a few weeks ago, my beauty buddies and I snapped up a great free shipping offer from Net-A-Porter :)

Alas, I was too late to get my hands on the Magic Cream (it's apparently always sold out!!), and instead opted to try the Multi-Miracle Cleanser.

First off, let me say that Net-A-Porter has like, the fastest ever delivery service in the world.  There's a standard flat shipping rate of US$15 worldwide, and they delivered within 3 days!!!

Like... WHUT!? That's seriously amazing!

Anyhoo, back to the Cleanser!

It comes in a big glass jar, topped with a lovely rose-gold cover, bearing the lovely CT branding. It's 100ml for a price of US$83 - but really, to me that's worth the price as the benefits you get out of this is incomparable - and did I mention there's 100ml worth of product in that jar??

It's basically a cream-to-oil cleansing balm that helps to replenish moisture to the skin and 'stimulates micro-circulation' - which will supposedly result in lesser wrinkles, and encourage smooth, supple skin!

I am pretty much used to having a cleanser that soaps up with suds, and basically wipes out all the dirt and makeup from my face.

This - however - brings a totally different experience.

The texture seemed like a luxurious lightweight cream - there was a tinge of rose and another comforting yet familiar scent - which I later found out was frangipani! (YAY!)

As I applied to my skin, the cream melted into an oil, and basically sloughed off the dirt and makeup gently off my face.  Then after I washed off, my skin felt really smooth and soft, and there was no tightness to the skin!

I love this product for its multi-use factor!

You see, you can use it on either of 3 ways:

1. Cleanser
2. Night Mask
3. Rescue balm for any skin-related emergency like dry cuticles, or dry hands, elbows etc.

(as claimed on the CT website - check that out)

Here I will show you the results of using the product on the back of my hand.

See how hydrated and plumped up and brighter my skin is?!

And that's after my first application!

I am currently awaiting to try out the Magic Cream (and currently it seems to be sold out on most of the international shopping channels!)

Let's hope I get lucky soon!

So hope this has been helpful, and have a great weekend everyone!

Cheers

How to Deep Clean Your Brushes featuring The Make Up Store Brush Cleaning Soap!

Hello lovelies,

Hope you all had a great weekend!

I decided to do a quick video on how to deep clean your brushes.

In this, I used The Make Up Store's coveted Brush Cleaning Soap!

Honestly, gives the brushes a very thorough and deep cleansing, as well as keeping them in tip top form, hence my brushes last for quite some time (years even!).

Currently you can still get the soap at all The Make Up Store's outlets and it retails for S$20-S$25 (correct me if I am wrong!).

You can also try to purchase this on über beauty shop website: www.luxola.com, if it's sold out, just do a Waitlist Me on it, and they will let you know once they have it back in stock!

Hope you guys like the video, and please do subscribe and give a Thumbs Up!

Cheers

TMF Quick Rave: The Sola Look Matte Lipsticks

Hello Lovelies!

A beauty buddy of mine recently introduced me to The Sola Look lipsticks, after she watched a rave review made by popular Youtube guru - What Would Lizzy Do? If you haven't already checked out her channel, check it out now!

For the price of US$12 per lipstick, it's a steal for the kind of quality you get! They're supposed to be matte - but I'd say they lean more toward semi-matte, to creamy matte lipsticks. The great news is these lipsticks are paraben-free and lanolin-free, and cruelty-free!

I bought 5 lipsticks in total.

One was a set of 3 - The Glamática Collection - which consists of the shades Isabel, Carolina and Karla. This set costs US$30 (you save US$6!).

A nice everyday wearable beige

A cool pop of pink!

My ULTIMATE fave colour - I LOVE this SO MUCH.
The other 2 shades came I bought as singles.

Subtle rosy pink hue on me.

Something that brighens me up on a Monday!

The colours are really suitable to most skintones. And here in Asia, anyone can carry it off. The part I love is that these lipsticks do not dry my lips out.  I am pretty wary of matte lipsticks coz the variety available usually tends to dry out or chap my lips, so this was a nice surprise!  The colours are super pigmented, and you really need only one application on the lips.

The best bit?

They last and last throughout the day!

In fact, I was pretty amazed at the length of time these babies lasted on my lips.

The company has just launched 2 new colours:

 From their website: www.thesolalook.com
I just ordered them so will update you ladies once I have them in hand! Diana seems to be SO ME... LOL! You can also check out their Facebook page.

Ordering online is a breeze, and you can do so via their website:

Shipping is capped at US$10 flat for international orders - so really, it's quite a steal!

Have an awesome weekend!

Cheers

TMF Tested: The FaceShop Aura CC Cream

Hi ladies

I was recently recommended by a friend to try out The FaceShop's latest CC Cream.

Aura CC Cream

It so happened that at the same time, I received an ad mail in my mailbox from The FaceShop as they recently launched a new store at Bedok Mall - it was for a storewide 20% off discount!

So, what else? I went to have a look-see!

I got mine in Medium Beige - I think it's the either midtone or the darkest shade.

It lays claim to 3 capabilities:
- brightens up skintone, as it contains Silver Vine Complex
- has anti-wrinkle, UV protection and brightening benefits
- 12 hour coverage, as well as darkening proof formula

It comes in a pretty cool packaging, with a very clean dispenser.  Not messy, and easy to wipe off!

It also has a special sponge meant for CC cream application as well.

See that little hole in the middle?
Press the dispenser at the bottom, and voila! Out comes your CC cream.  Neat huh?
Test ran it.

Bare Faced Me
With Aura CC Cream on, no filter, no concealer at all!
And indeed, I didn't see the need for any concealer at that point, and just ran around the whole day with this CC Cream, and only set it with a makeup setting spray.

Fresh Faced me with makeup on at 7am - no filter as well
Still looking decent, though my redness is starting to peek through at 5.30pm - no touch-ups done at all.
So my opinion is, the Aura CC Cream does a pretty decent job.  It can last a decent 10 hours max, in an aircon environment - yeap, I haven't road-tested this out in the open as yet. Though my bet is that it will probably last at least 5 hours in Singapore's sweltering heat.

This currently retails for S$49.90 and is available at all FaceShop stores in Singapore.  It comes in 3 varying shades, so please do swatch to get the right tone for yourself!

They do have samples, so if you're on the fence on it, just nip in and ask the friendly sales babes to let you have one.

Happy midweek, ladies!

Cheers

Quickie Post: Covermark Mineral Wash

Happy weekend everyone!

I just needed to tell y'all about this really amazing facial wash from Covermark, which I had the pleasure of trying out over the last few weeks.

Covermark Mineral Wash

Sample 25g

Sample 25g

At first I thought, this was a regular facial wash.  You can find the detailed information of the Mineral Wash on Covermark Singapore's official website!

Boy, was I underestimating it's prowess!

Firstly, it lathers up into this puffy bauble of smooth, white creamy mousse - which I found - cute (i know right, such an odd word for me to use LOL).

It works like a clay mask, thereby giving you a thorough cleansing and to me, I do believe it tightens the pores as well.

How did I derive that?

Well, see for yourself the results I had by just using this wash!

Before
My rough skin condition - a direct result of dehydrating factors like not drinking enough water and sitting in aircon all day.

This was taken about 3 weeks ago, and you can see my enlarged pores.

Close up of my deplorable pores :(

So this is the result after 3 weeks of usage:

After
Taken in natural daylight - skin is more hydrated and you can see it looks slightly plumped up. There is NO FILTER on this pic!
Close up of my nose with barely-there pores!

Here is a video which Covermark did to show how you can use the Mineral Wash, and get the most results out of it.

Click on this image to go straight to the video!

I am really really pleased with the results, and I'll be checking Covermark out soon for more of their skincare products.

Meantime, have a great weekend, and happy GSS shopping!

Cheers
